🎶 What is Roslyn Stone?

• A vibrant, evolving women’s singing ensemble

• Known for exciting, women-centered music & strong community

• Performed in Des Moines from 2011-2018—now reborn for a new era to include all singing women.

🧘‍♀️ A Low-Stress, High-Fun Event!

• Rehearsal materials (sheet music and rehearsal tracks) provided a month in advance

• Plenty of breaks, relaxation, and vocal care

• Childcare available! Girls & young boys welcome

🎤 Retreat & Concert Details

• Date: Saturday, May 10, 2025

• Location: Unity Center of Des Moines

• Who Can Join? Women who love to sing! No auditions required.
   

• Schedule:

  • We'll be here from 10a-10p, but your attendance can be flexible. Contact with specific questions.

  • Daytime: Group singing, rehearsals, self-care discussions & gourmet meals

  • Evening: A private concert featuring group performances & solo acts

  • Optional: Perform a solo, duet, or small-group piece

🎭 Optional Performance opportunities during the private concert

• All participants are invited to perform as a solo, duet, or other small ensemble

• Songs, spoken word, or any other style of performance is welcome

💚Personnel 

• Sarah Neu is the founder and director of Roslyn Stone. She will be bringing her abundance of expertise in music, women, and community to make this a unique and positive event. 

• Linda Foster will lend her groovy spirit to provide drumming opportunities and accompaniment throughout the event

• We’re planning some awesome activities and performances during the day with special guests. Check out our Personnel page for more details about our Leaders and Section Leaders.

🍐Yumtastic Food!

• We’re gonna take care of you with some yummy gourmet treats!

• Lunch and Supper and snacks on will be provided

• All food will be gluten free, and there will be a vegan option

• Please let us know on the registration form if you have food sensitivities or allergies

• Open to women of all ages, shapes, and ethnicities—just bring your voice!

• While this is a retreat for, by, about, and in celebration of women. Roslyn Stone has always had a few trusted Support Gentleman who help bring the music together, and some may be in attendance 

• Girls 13+ with singing experience are welcome

• LGBTQIA welcoming

• Scholarships and exchanges available—no one turned away for lack of funds!
